What inspired you to start your business?
I was working 3 jobs during my summer break of university (where I studied Architecture) to save
for a special trip. I was selling cigars at Ascot Racecourse, working as a receptionist in a beauty
salon and I had a part-time job doing marketing and web design for Elle Sport. After 2 months I
think I’d made about £1,000. In the meantime my sister had started selling products on social
media and I noticed the insane diIerence between what I was getting paid and what she was
and she didn’t have to go anywhere or work for anyone else. That’s when I decided to start.
How long ago was that?
It was 7 years ago now, so I was just 20 years old when I started. It’s crazy to think that small
moment changed my life forever and I really had no Idea. I just thought, I’ll save a little money
for my holiday and go back to being a student.
Did you finish your studies?
I did. There was a point where I thought, I want to quit. And it was a real split decision in my
family. My Dad said go for it, you’ll do well in business, but my Mum said I must finish. I had
How was the early stages of building the business?
It was crazy. Honestly when I started, I was still working the jobs I mentioned so I would come
home at 5pm and work my business until 12pm most nights. It was such a rush, and we were
building such momentum at the time it honestly didn’t feel like work at all. And I remember
getting my first months commission and just feeling so grateful.
Did that success continue to build in a linear way?
No, of course not. It never does in any business. And I think I’ve been fortunate to see my family
members have businesses and realise it’s never straightforward or easy. But in the early stages
it felt too good to be true. I was a student earning £2,000 a month and I felt like the richest girl in
the world. But then, I really struggled to go beyond £2k a month for about a year and then it took
a decline for another year, I was earning about £800 per month and I almost quit. It was never
really my intention to continue with it forever anyway. So, I was happy to have made a few
thousand and aIord my university rent and a few nice holidays.
So when did that all change?
When I started to focus my energy on growing a team in the United States. I found a girl in
Atlanta, on social media or she found me I should say. She had been commenting on my
pictures on a trip to LA and I checked out her profile and I just had this feeling about her, I can’t
explain it but I’d never had this feeling about anyone in the business before. I thought she would
be amazing at what I do. I contacted her and initially she wasn’t interested but after a few
months she messaged me again to ask how she can get started. From the get-go she was clearly
so on board with the business and just had a natural way of influencing people to buy-in to the
products. After a few months she started to grow a big team in Atlanta.
How is that team doing today?
They have expanded across the US and now have major bases in Atlanta, Hawaii and Florida.
They are doing insanely well in sales; they account for about 90% of my business today. 4
members of the team have gone on to make over $1 Million dollars in commission since starting
the business in 2020.
Were there any other pivotal moments for you?
Yes, during the initial COVID lockdown my business took a huge turn. With so many people out
of work and looking for new opportunities, coupled with self-care trends and having no outlet to
spend their income other than on home products like skincare. Our business scaled 1000%
over the course of 3 months, we had extreme growth right up until about November 2022, when
we reached record Black Friday sales. Now it continues to bring a steady incredible income but
like any business it does plateau for some time, but we continue to put the work in until the next
huge wave of growth comes our way.
How did this new success in business change your life?
It allowed me to move out of my parents’ home and move to my favourite city in the world,
London. It was a huge life change as it’s an expensive to live there and there’s no way I could
aIord it without my business. I now have the luxury to decide where I want to live and work and
when I want to take time oI. Which means I can explore things I’m passionate about such as
performing arts and painting.
What’s next for you?
I really want to expand my team across America and help more people to see the opportunity
and have their lives changed like I did. I have been travelling to international conventions in Utah
for the last couple of years to meet the team and give them guidance on what I have learnt in the
last 7 years and I hope at some point in the future I will be able to make the US a permanent
home so that I can be more hands-on with the team there.
